Our Candidates
Allan Fawley
For Park Board
Allan Fawley is a Vancouver educator with 20 years of experience working with children and families in the public school system. He holds dual graduate degrees: one in urban planning, with a focus on urban design, and another in education, focusing on social justice and equity in curriculum. His education and professional career have given him a strong understanding of how thoughtful public policy, inclusive spaces, and responsive public institutions contribute to healthy communities.
A longtime Vancouver resident, Allan believes parks and recreation facilities are essential public infrastructure: places to play, neighbours to connect, people to be active, and everyone to enjoy the natural beauty that makes Vancouver exceptional.
Allan has keen interests in travel, architecture, history, urban life, and the arts. His travels across Canada and abroad have strengthened his appreciation for great public spaces and the important role parks, recreation, culture, and heritage play in creating vibrant and welcoming cities.
As a candidate for Vancouver Park Board, Allan brings together the perspectives of an educator, urbanist, and engaged community member. He is committed to protecting Vancouver’s parks, improving access to recreation, and ensuring decisions are practical, equitable, accountable, and responsive to the communities the Park Board serves.
