Charles Kelly
For City Council
Charles Kelly brings decades of public‑sector and business experience to Vancouver City Council. A Queen’s‑educated former federal public servant, he advised on national housing policy, urban issues.
For over 30 years he led a national management consulting firm. He later served as Commissioner General for the UN World Urban Forum on Sustainable Cities, in Vancouver. This entailed managing a $27‑million budget and coordinating with a Governance Council of 70 nations.
In Vancouver, Charles has spent 40-plus years as a resident, community volunteer, and small‑business owner, including 14 years operating the Blarney Stone in Gastown.
A Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Award recipient for community service, he understands governance, accountability, and the day‑to‑day realities residents face.
