Raj Mundra is a Civil Engineer with nearly three decades of experience in the local building industry, from renovations, residential, institutional buildings to commercial projects. His extensive background in design, planning, supervising, budgeting and operations management gives him particular insight into the complicated realm of construction and city processes.

 

He is running with TEAM because of its commitment to serving Vancouver residents. He wants to bring constructive, informed, and community driven leadership to City Hall. His focus if elected will be on improving policy clarity so processes are easier to understand, expanding community engagement so more voices feel included, and helping streamline permit timelines to reduce delays and cut cost for residents and small businesses.

 

Raj sits on several non-profit boards, including the Society of Punjabi Engineers and Technologists of BC, and has volunteered for over twenty years with Diabetes Canada. He is also a member of Indo-Pacific Foundation of Canada.

 

He is a life member of the United Football Club and the Vancouver Soccer Club. As a gardener who enjoys nature, his favourite places in Vancouver are its parks and gardens, along with the Stanley Park seawall.
