TEAM announces new candidate for council: Raj Mundra

VANCOUVER, Aug. 26, 2026  - Today, TEAM for a Livable Vancouver announced Raj Mundra to round out its slate of council candidates.

“TEAM is the grassroots party, and that is why I am running with TEAM,” Mundra told TEAM members before they voted to endorse him.

Mundra is a civil engineer with nearly three decades of experience in the local building industry. His extensive background in design, planning, supervising, budgeting and operations management gives him unusual insight into the complicated realm of construction and city processes.  He said he is passionate about streamlining the building process within Vancouver’s existing zoning capacity, pointing to the decline of housing starts in Vancouver as a sign that City Hall’s current approach is not working.

Mundra sits on several non-profit boards, including the Society of Punjabi Engineers & Applied Technologists of BC.

TEAM has committed to selecting a slate of candidates from diverse backgrounds and areas across the city.  Along with his extensive professional knowledge and experience, Mundra seeks to be a strong representative for the South Vancouver area where he lives, and the South Asian community.
