Mayor Ken Sim and his ABC Party just pushed through their plan for eviction-triggering mass rezoning along the Broadway and Cambie St. corridors, threatening the very fabric of our neighbourhoods.
The undemocratic decision bypasses essential public consultation, meaning towering structures up to 26-storeys high could be built in your neighbourhood, without any input from those who live here!
This secretive plan puts developers first and RESIDENTS LAST.
Shockingly, not a single council member stood up against Ken Sim. OneCity and Green Party councillors backed the motion, and the abstention from COPE actually counts as a vote of support!
Enough is enough. Vancouverites deserve a city council that truly represents its residents.
